April 9 is Deadline to Submit for Virginia Convention Delegate

Have you ever wanted to take part in the process of selecting the Democratic nominee for President? You may have voted for your preferred candidate on March 3rd, but the work only began there in Virginia! The next step is to take part in the Congressional District (mid-May) and State (June 20th) conventions. At these events, you’ll be selecting who will represent Virginia’s 99 pledged delegates to the Democratic National Committee in Milwaukee, WI. Due to public health concerns, this entire process has gone virtual; from caucus to convention. The deadline to file to participate in this important process is April 9th at 5pm. No filings will be accepted after the deadline.

File to be a Delegate or Alternate for former VP Biden or Senator Sanders here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSekxi9OwVmeii2b4b2mDf-rXwVbzvInKpuvaeddjud3xOrAFQ/viewform

And if you can’t commit to being a Delegate/Alternate, you can still participate in the selection of those representatives to the Congressional District and State conventions. File to be a participant in the virtual caucuses here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScggzhQbrE0SpbYwUwBrGOqWIvlctSnVYxQ2wwVUsAobvQZLg/viewform. Those who file as a Delegate or Alternate do not need to file as a participant.

Please note that this is to file to participate in the state-level process, not the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee. Please feel free to send questions about this process to 2020primary@fairfaxdemocrats.org.
