The 3rd annual Women’s March is taking place on Saturday, January 19. Several local progressive organizations are coordinated events around the March and looking for volunteers:
Friday, Jan. 18
Poster and Potluck Party hosted by Arlington Dems, Arlington Young Democrats, and VA Democracy Forward – VADF. 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. at the Clarendon Presbyterian Church (3 blocks from the Metro). Bring the kids, a dish to share, and all of your great poster ideas. They’ll provide poster board and markers, but feel free to BYO for extra flair.
Saturday, Jan. 19
ERA Rally with optional participation in Women’s March, hosted by Arlington Dems and VA Democracy Forward – VADF. Meet at 10 AM on the Virginia side of the Memorial Bridge to hear from several speakers about the movement to pass the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). Those interested can then walk together to the Women’s March in DC.
Volunteer to Greet Out-of-Town Marchers. DC Local Ambassadors is proud to partner with DC Action Lab on the 2019 Women’s March on Washington. They are looking for 150 local DMV bus greeters to direct out-of-town participants to key March locations and back to their buses safely on the day of the event.

Sunday, Jan. 20
Virginia Ratify the ERA brunch, hosted by Arlington Dems and VA Democracy Forward – VADF. 11 AM-12:30 p.m., Rustico Ballston (2 blocks from the Metro). Join local and state officials to rally for ratification of the ERA in this General Assembly session.
